But this past weekend was extra special! Ever since our mom-daughter trip to Puerto Rico this summer for a Quinceañera, walking around the colorful streets of Old San Juan, I couldn’t stop dreaming about seeing el astro boricua live in concert.

Fast forward to Friday, October 23rd, 2026, and that dream finally came true! Ricky Martin brought his 2026 Tour to Lucas Oil Live at WinStar World Casino & Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma his 13th stop on the tour!

And guess what? WinStar is located just an hour and 25 minutes away from Dallas, making it the absolute best getaway for a girls’ trip or a mom night out.

Here is everything about my experience, from the music and energy to how staying at the resort made our weekend effortless and unforgettable.

The Road Trip: From Southlake to Thackerville, OK

Friday morning was all about organizing home, leaving everything ready, and packing my essentials. With my car fully charged, my favorite shoes, my camera, my Quince suitcase (promo code INFG-26MCONTEMPORANEA10) with my Banana Republic new dress, and toda la energía del mundo, I hit the road from Southlake, TX towards Thackerville, Oklahoma.

I arrived around 3:30pm, parked, and had a seamless check-in. Shortly after, my dear friend Erika arrived. Having a weekend stay planned meant no stress about driving back home late at night after the show. ¡Una bendición total para dos mamás que querían descansar!

We spent the afternoon exploring the property, relaxing, taking a refreshing shower, and getting ready for dinner.

Dining & Staying at WinStar Resort: Spa Tower Review

WinStar World Casino and Resort is literally the largest casino in the world by gaming floor space, spanning over 600,000 square feet! But it’s much more than just gaming it’s a complete entertainment destination.

Our Room: Spa Tower (Floor 15)

We stayed in the Spa Tower on Floor 15, and ¡Dios mío!, our suite was amazing! It was super roomy, stylish, with a beautiful view, and incredibly quiet. Staying in the Spa Tower gave us high-end luxury and direct access to the resort spa. Standard weekend rates for resort stay range from $119 to $429+ USD per night:

• Spa Tower Suites: $299 – $429+ per night (premium, non-smoking high-end suites).
• Casino, Pool, & W Towers: $189 – $329 per night (upscale, modern standard rooms right near the action).

But we took advantage of our Ricky Martin Entertainment Package, which made the whole experience even better:

• Price: Starting at $1,089 (plus hotel tax and resort fee).
• What’s Included:
  • A 1-night stay in a King or Double Queen room.
  • 2 tickets to see Ricky Martin in the 200s section at Lucas Oil Live (exact seating assigned by the Box Office, we ended up in the third row, which was amazing!).
  • $25 in Bonus Play per person for the casino.

Dinner at Unión Mesa

For dinner, we went to Unión Mesa, located right inside the casino near the slot machines. I ordered the fajitas de camarones ($34) and Erika got the street taco platter ($25). Everything was hot, delicious, and gave us all the energy we needed for the concert!

While Erika and I don’t drink alcohol, the venue and bars were fully stocked with wine, margaritas, cold beers, and handcrafted cocktails for those looking to celebrate.

Ricky Martin at Lucas Oil Live: 1 Hour and 30 Minutes!

The venue, Lucas Oil Live, is a state-of-the-art 6,500-seat entertainment arena located right on property, literally a 5-minute indoor walk from our room!

At 8:30pm, the lights dimmed, the crowd screamed, and el astro boricua hit the stage! He opened up with the explosive energy of “Pégate“, and from that second on, nobody stayed in their seats.

For 1 hour and 30 minutes, Ricky sang and danced like only he can. He is just as handsome, humble, and insanely talented in person as he looks on TV! Some of my absolute favorite performances were: “Lola, Lola“,“Vente Pa’ Ca”,“Tu Recuerdo“, “La Bomba”.

Even though I was secretly wishing for Asignatura Pendiente and Ciudad Bonita, hearing his classic hits live made my heart so full. He closed the show in true legendary style with “La Copa de La Vida”! ¡Qué noche tan inolvidable!

Breakfast & Morning Tips:

Because thousands of guests exit the hotel towers around checkout (11am), coffee spots like Winning Picks get super busy between 8:30am and 10:30am.

We decided to have breakfast at Terrace View Café. The morning was a bit chilly outside, so I ordered delicious huevos rancheros with hot tea, and Erika had avocado toast. If you want quick pastries and espresso, you can also take a quick indoor stroll over to Le Paris Bakery & Café in the Paris Plaza.
