Life is More Than Just Money

Disclosure: This is a compensated post behalf of brightpeak financial® and WeAllGrow Latina, however all opinions expressed are my own.

As soon as I moved to the United States, my first priority was to learn to manage my financials in my new country. I knew obtaining a bank account, a checkbook and good credit would open the door to my financial independence and would be the first step for me to be part of a new society. Working hard is not enough if you don’t learn to save and what to do with your money.

When my first son was born, I started working from home. New opportunities arrived and allowed me to earn my own income, but with that came many responsibilities. I had to learn to administrate my cash flow the right way. Like many women I know, I can be a little bit impulsive. After many lessons learned, I now understand that without self- control and making the correct decisions I would be taken far from my goals. Our household tasks are divided equally. I manage the household and take care of all the shopping, like groceries and school supplies, while my husband is in charge of making monthly payments, monitoring our household bills and ensuring bank deposits are made. We are a great team!

brightpeak financial, is a company looking to do things a little differently because life is more than just money and you don’t have to compromise your values to be financially successful. Agreed! We used to think only wealthy people needed a financial plan, but it is not true. We all want to live without complications and, after all, stronger families build stronger communities for a better world.
